GROUNDED
MEDITATIVE LIFE PERFORMANCE

"The Last Night" is a theatrical performance for piano solo and symphony orchestra. The story is based on the historical events of the early XX century: Russian revolution, execution of Nikolai Romanov's family, Holocaust,  Armenian Genocide.  The storylines that have no connection to each other begin to merge into one "Last Night" of humanity.

GROUNDED is a symbiosis of senses of hearing, seeing and feeling that is supporting the audience toactively immerse themselves into the music. The idea behind the piece is to encourage the listener to deepen the connection to the nature by the direct contact to it.  For that reason a completely new environment was brought and installed in the concert hall.

Alexandr Iradyan I Rima Pipoyan I Sergey Umroyan

How would feel the audience if they attend a performance where there’s no orchestra but, in fact, the audience itself is becoming one for a conductor starting at the centre? Our aim is to create a feeling of being engaged in the music-creating process for the spectators unfolding right before their eyes.
